Ep. 20: Prime Minister's Elite Unit Ambushes Tatsumi and Lubbock During Palace Infiltration

Kurome collapses despite reassurances, while Night Raid executes a multi-pronged assault on the capital. Mine and Leone scout tunnels, Najenda coordinates with spies, and Tatsumi and Lubbock meet a resistance contact. They are ambushed by Syura, who admits to manipulating Danger Beasts and teleporting Esdeath and Tatsumi. Commander-in-chief Budo fights Tatsumi while Lubbock battles Syura. Lubbock gains the advantage but is betrayed by a blackmailed resistance member. He drags Syura into an abyss using his Imperial Arms, killing him before they teleport back above the palace. Lubbock’s weapon breaks, causing him to fall and die on spikes as a captured Tatsumi watches. Esdeath returns from an expedition and volunteers to execute Tatsumi publicly.
