Esdeath orders Tatsumi’s execution after he rejects her proposal, prompting Mine to attempt a solo rescue. Akame, Leone, and Najenda intercept her and join the effort. Night Raid assaults the site as Esdeath prepares to kill Tatsumi. Budo paralyzes Leone with lightning, forcing Mine to defeat him with a fatal blast that severely wounds her. Najenda battles Esdeath using Susanoo’s Magatama Manifestation, which drains her life force. Esdeath freezes time and destroys Susanoo’s core. Najenda uses the move again to restore Susanoo, who delays Esdeath while the group escapes with Tatsumi. Carrying the dying Mine back to the hideout, she confesses her love and kisses Tatsumi before passing away.
