Ep. 23: Night Raid's final mission targets the prime minister while Tatsumi faces the Emperor and his Imperial Arm.

With only four members remaining, Night Raid initiates their final operation to assassinate the prime minister. Najenda commands the Revolutionary Army toward the capital, while Tatsumi, Akame, and Leone infiltrate the palace. They encounter Run, prompting Leone to stay behind for combat as the others advance to the throne room. The Emperor ignores their pleas and activates Shwarzentazer, an Ultimate Imperial Arm appearing as a massive armored giant. Witnessing the destruction inflicted upon his subjects, Tatsumi confronts the ruler, aided by Wave, while others assist in evacuating citizens. Tatsumi repeatedly strikes the armor at a single point, eventually destroying the Imperial Arm and defeating the Emperor after unlocking Incursio's true power. To prevent the giant from crushing the populace, Tatsumi uses his remaining strength to halt its fall. He dies from his grave wounds in Akame's arms, causing grief for both her and Esdeath.
