Treize invites Lillia to spend the winter in Ikstova, prompting Allison to take a vacation from work to join her. Following a lengthy journey, the pair meets Treize at the station and travels to a mountain cabin. Allison departs soon after to attend a New Year's Eve celebration in town. Meanwhile, Benedict and Fiona host a private gathering, inviting guests from Lowry Productions, a film studio led by Elicia Lowry. As the clock strikes midnight, Lowry and her accomplices ambush the party attendees, holding them at gunpoint with revolvers.
