Lillia employs dynamite to distract guards, enabling Treize to access the cabin's upper floor and attempt a wireless transmission. The signal proves broken before guards arrive, forcing both to conceal themselves in the attic. Meanwhile, Fiona discovers that her captor is the daughter of Nihito, the man responsible for her family's death. She informs the woman that she is not Francesca, but rather her twin sister. Later, as Treize attempts to follow his parents and their captors through the snow, an assassin attempts to shoot him from a distance. Lillia shouts a warning, successfully saving Treize from the sniper's bullet.
