Ep. 8: SSS members battle Kanade clones while Yuri manipulates harmonics to restore the original Angel.

The SSS confronts the hostile red-eyed Kanade, resulting in a mutual stabbing between the two entities. Yuri recalls the harmonics ability, which enables self-cloning, and directs the team to class while she modifies Kanade’s computer to reverse the process. Meanwhile, the original Kanade is abducted and located in the abandoned Guild. The SSS traverses the area, facing Angel clones rather than traps, with only Yuri and Otonashi surviving the journey. At the bottom, Yuri defeats the final clone, and Otonashi instructs the original to activate harmonics. A new clone warns of the risk of fusing all consciousnesses into Kanade. As the absorption program initiates, the Angel clones painfully revert to the original form.
