Xiang Ying recognizes violinist Yume Kayano as the daughter of her former Zheng Dao Hui target after reading a newspaper. Yume hires City Hunter to investigate her father, revealing that all records of him were destroyed and he smiled during his death. Ryo discovers from Chen that her father was an assassin known as Mad Dog, who used bombs that often killed bystanders. When Yume’s teacher, Haruka Takanami, is shot at, Ryo suspects Mad Dog’s former partner, Dog Walker, is responsible for the attack. The investigation connects the past assassination to current threats against Yume and those around her, highlighting the dangerous legacy of her father's violent methods.
