Xiang Ying fails to pull the trigger, leaving her distraught after the family reunion. Ryo explains that the qualifications for being a City Hunter involve more than just killing. He realizes that her growing awareness of her new life and the influence of Kaori's heart within her are slowly changing her nature. This internal shift prevents her from committing the murder, highlighting the deeper responsibilities of their profession beyond simple violence.
