Oct 4, 2005Glass Heart, a fifteen-year-old assassin trained by Zheng Dao Hui, attempted suicide after completing her fiftieth mission. Meanwhile, Kaori Makimura, the beloved partner of City Hunter Ryo Saeba, died in a traffic accident. As an organ donor, her heart was removed for transplant but stolen during transport. Glass Heart received this heart, saving her life, yet remained unconscious for a year. Ryo Saeba has since ceased working as City Hunter and led a degenerate life. He believes that Kaori's transplanted heart still lives on in someone else.

Glass Heart escapes syndicate and returns to Shinjuku where Kaori died
Oct 11, 2005Glass Heart regains consciousness and escapes the syndicate, guided by dreams of Kaori and Ryo Saeba to Shinjuku. She stands at the traffic junction where Kaori died in an accident. After encountering Mochiyama from Zheng Dao Hui, she creates a commotion with gunshots and a car explosion, attracting police pursuit. She is then led to the Cat's Eye cafe, run by Umibozu, a close friend of Ryo Saeba. The blind Umibozu experiences an inexplicable feeling that Kaori has returned. This sequence marks her physical return to the location of the past tragedy and her reconnection with those who knew her, culminating in Umibozu's intuitive recognition of her presence despite his blindness.

Saeba Ryo searches Shinjuku for Kaori while Glass Heart seeks City Hunter at a removed message board.
Oct 18, 2005After learning Kaori has returned, Saeba Ryo wanders the streets of Shinjuku in a futile search for her. Meanwhile, Glass Heart, driven by a strong desire to meet Ryo, investigates clues regarding the secret message board code XYZ to contact City Hunter. Guided by visions of Kaori, she travels to the board's location at Shinjuku Station, only to find it removed due to disuse. Disheartened by this failure, Glass Heart faints from despair. Before she can strike the ground, Ryo appears and catches her, subsequently transporting her to a nearby clinic for care.

Glass Heart confronts her donor's memories while Li Jian Qiang faces assassination in Japan.
Oct 25, 2005After regaining consciousness, Glass Heart sees Kaori in a mirror and feels her body is being taken over, leading to hostility toward the donor. Doctor Doc informs Ryo, Umibozu, and Superintendent Saeko Nogami at Umibozu's cafe that the recipient possesses the donor's memories. Meanwhile, Li Jian Qiang, head of Zheng Dao Hui, arrives in Japan and is briefed by Mochiyama on Glass Heart's presence in Shinjuku before being shot by a sniper. Mochiyama meets City Hunter to warn him that an assassin is targeting him, hoping they destroy each other. Upon seeing a photo, Ryo identifies Glass Heart as the girl with Kaori's transplanted heart. Concurrently, Glass Heart locates a hidden weapons cache.

Li Jian Qiang survives assassination as Glass Heart finds hope through Kaori
Nov 1, 2005After Zheng Dao Hui boss Li Jian Qiang survives an assassination attempt, Saeko from Shinjuku West police station establishes an emergency headquarters to prevent a gang power vacuum. The organization aggressively hunts Glass Heart, suspected of being the assassin, throughout Shinjuku streets. Meanwhile, Glass Heart, having lost her identity and will to live, prepares to commit suicide by shooting herself in the heart. Kaori’s influence intervenes at the last moment, stopping her from pulling the trigger. Concurrently, Master Li visits Umibozu’s café and reveals to Ryo that the victim was actually his secret double and twin brother, Li Qian De, clarifying the true target of the attack.

Ryo remembers rescuing Li Qian De 22 years ago and meets Glass Heart at the café
Nov 8, 2005Ryo recalls rescuing Li Qian De from guerrillas 22 years ago at his twin brother Li Jian Qiang's request. He visits Zheng Dao Hui, where Li Qian De dies in his arms. At Umibozu's café, Li Jian Qiang reveals that Glass Heart is his long-lost daughter Xiang-Ying, who attempted suicide. He confesses that Kaori's Heart was stolen to save her, though he did not know its origin. Glass Heart arrives at the café and shares an emotional first face-to-face meeting with Ryo.

Glass Heart and Ryo evade Qing Long soldiers in Kabukichou while Ryo refuses to abandon her.
Nov 15, 2005Glass Heart meets Ryo at Umibozu's café in Umibozu, but they are pursued by the Qing Long, the infantry branch of Zheng Dao Hui commanded by Zhao. The pair escapes into the locked-down streets of the Kabukichou area in Shinjuku. During the chase, Glass Heart urges Ryo to save himself and kill her, but he insists she must cherish her second chance at life. Ryo then contacts Saeko via the city surveillance system, proposing to lead the pursuers to a deserted hotel. This strategy allows the Special Assault Team (SAT) to engage the soldiers without endangering civilians.

Ryo and Glass Heart join allies at Hotel Kojyo before the Qing Long confrontation.
Nov 22, 2005Preparing for the gunfight with Qing Long, Ryo brings Glass Heart to the blockaded Hotel Kojyo, where Umibozu, Saeko, and Doc are partying. They intend to fight alongside Ryo, a concept Glass Heart struggles with due to her training to never rely on others. The group toasts to Kaori as the showdown approaches. A Qing Long scout infiltrates the building, prompting Glass Heart to engage him alone. The scout is revealed to be Liu Xin Hong, formerly Number 36, whom she knew as Number 27 during Zheng Dao Hui training. He was her only friend, though she believed she killed him in the Suzaka Unit final trials. After declaring his love, Xin Hong departs to detonate an explosion at Qing Long headquarters to protect her, but Ryo saves him from death.

Liu Xin Hong Reveals His Past and Xiang Ying’s True Identity
Nov 29, 2005Liu Xin Hong recalls his past with Number 27, revealing he shot Master Li to survive. Zheng Dao Hui abducts him using sleeping gas, prompting Glass Heart to pursue them while barely conscious. Master Li interrogates Xin Hong, who admits Zhao hired him for the assassination. Xin Hong explains he joined Glass Heart to repay her life debt, unaware she is Li’s daughter. Li ritually executes him for his rebellion but allows him to leave. The Genbu unit is dispatched to eliminate the traitors Zhao and Qing Long. Glass Heart finds Xin Hong before collapsing. He departs for unfinished business while Master Li shares a tearful reunion with her daughter, Xiang Ying.

Li executes Cho while Ryo accepts Glass Heart as his daughter
Dec 6, 2005Master Li reunites with his unconscious daughter, Xiang Ying, also known as Glass Heart. He orders the liquidation of Cho, his ambitious lieutenant responsible for the assassination attempt and the Qing Long unit's attack. Genbu and Xin Hong pursue Cho, but Grand Chamberlain Chen stops Xin Hong to let Genbu handle the punishment. Before Genbu can act, Ryo snipes Cho. Ryo then reveals Xiang Ying's true identity to Xin Hong, suggesting he inform her. Xin Hong discovers she is also Master Li's daughter. While unconscious, Glass Heart communicates with Kaori about Ryo, viewing him as a father figure. Upon waking, she calls Ryo "papa" and asks him to be her father. Ryo accepts, realizing she is the child he and Kaori could never have.

Xin Hong Fails to Reveal His True Identity to Glass Heart
Dec 13, 2005Xin Hong loses his nerve and accidentally reveals the name Xiang Ying to Glass Heart instead of his real identity. Claiming Ryo invented the alias, he avoids embarrassment when she accepts the explanation. Ryo subsequently arranges for Xiang Ying to guide Master Li through Shinjuku, keeping the fact that Li is her father a secret. During their tour, the pair take photos together in a booth. Upon reviewing the printed images, they notice that both are wearing identical expressions, unaware of their familial connection.

Ryo and Xiang Ying attend Qian De's funeral and discuss his life
Dec 20, 2005Ryo and Xiang Ying attend the funeral of Qian De, who was her uncle. Jian Qiang tells Ryo how he met Xiang Ying's mother, Lin Xiang Ping, and how it was his caring brother Qian De who brought them together and encouraged him to have children. Although he lived in his brother's shadow Qian De was happy to be out of the limelight, and especially enjoyed that Xiang Ying thought that she had two fathers. As Qian De's ashes are scattered on the ocean, Xiang Ying asks Ryo to scatter her ashes on the ocean if she dies before him.
