Ep. 12: Kou reveals vulnerability to Futaba and reunites with family for dinner

Kou displays a vulnerable side to Futaba, whom he finds docile and cute. That evening, he joins his brother Tanaka and father for their first family dinner since their mother’s death years ago. He confesses he never hated them but felt confused about enjoying life while his mother could not. The following day at school, Kou surprises his friends by proposing a study group and ultimately scores higher than all of them on the finals. In the final scene, the group decides where to go for summer vacation. Futaba reminisces about the past while looking forward to creating more memories with Kou, Yuuri, Shuuko, and Kominato.
