Ep. 8: A Sick Man Appears as Paku Quits and Students Face Naberius Attack
Paku decides to leave cram school while recovering from injury, troubling Izumo. During Aria class, Izumo fails to recite homework, so Ryuji recites it, shocking Rin and Shiemi. An argument between Ryuji and Izumo leads Yukio to punish the class by placing heavy bariyons on their laps. After Yukio leaves for a three-hour mission, the students are attacked by a naberius. The creature splits, and Rin leads one ghoul away while Ryuji fights the other. The students protect Ryuji as he proves himself. Rin discovers Neuhaus sent the naberiuses to verify his identity as Satan's son. Rin kills the first naberius with Kurikara but misses confronting Neuhaus. Ryuji extinguishes the second naberius, and Izumo thanks Shiemi for saving her during the attack.
