Sinbad, Shera, and Aladdin are swept by a river of flowing sand into a subterranean realm. There, they discover a tribe of Neanderthals co-existing with mammoths. After Sinbad and Aladdin drive off giant vampire bats attacking the tribe, the elder reveals a threat from ivory hunters with advanced weapons. The Neanderthals are helpless against these invaders. Sinbad devises a plan to use the mammoths as living tanks to repel the attackers. The invaders are successfully driven off. Consequently, the Neanderthals and mammoths decide to seek a new home on the surface. Sinbad, Aladdin, and Shera then continue their journey.
