Ep. 29: Brawlers meet ancient warriors who demand battles to escape the Doom Dimension

The brawlers reunite with Dan and Drago while seeking a way out of the Doom Dimension. Six bakugan appear, identifying themselves as Pyrus Apollonir, Haos Lars Lion, Aquos Frasch, Subterra Clayf, Ventus Oberus, and Darkus Exceedra. Drago recognizes them as the ancient warriors who saved Vestroia. They offer to help the brawlers escape if they become new warriors, provided they defeat their corresponding ancient warrior in battle. Dan adds that victory will free all trapped bakugan. The group agrees and is separated by light. Julie and Gorem are tested first. Julie wakes up in her house with her sister Daisy and Tom, who is revealed to be Clayf. Julie battles Daisy, who controls Clayf. Julie struggles with feelings of inadequacy compared to her sister. Gorem, near defeat, helps Julie realize she must be herself. Gaining confidence, Gorem evolves into Subterra Hammer Gorem and defeats Clayf. Clayf then appoints Julie and Gorem as the new Subterra soldiers.
