While Julie, Marucho, Shun, and Runo pass their trials in the Doom Dimension, their Guardian Bakugan evolve into Hammer Gorem, Angelo/Diablo Preyas, Storm Skyress, and Blade Tigrerra. Dan and Drago must now confront Apollonir, the leader of the Six Legendary Soldiers of Vestroia, to free the trapped Brawlers. Although they defeat Apollonir, Drago does not evolve. Apollonir reveals that Drago requires defeating the other four Brawlers to evolve again. Reluctantly, Dan agrees to this second phase of the test to complete their mission.
