Dan and the Brawlers return to Earth from the Doom Dimension, though Dan struggles with the news that he failed his test and must battle them to pass. Simultaneously, Joe and Wavern face an attack from Masquerade, who demands the Infinity Core from Wavern. Wavern defeats Masquerade’s Bakugan, including Dual Hydranoid, before Joe defeats Masquerade himself. Wavern warns that her evil twin brother, Naga, must retrieve the core personally. Masquerade denies being Naga’s messenger and teleports away. He then resolves to travel to the Doom Dimension to find a method to evolve Dual Hydranoid into its ultimate form, Alpha Hydranoid, leaving his success uncertain.
