The Bladebreakers advance to the second round of the American Tournament, where they compete against the Savage Slammers for a spot in the semi-finals. Although the opponents initially appear unskilled, they prove formidable after Rei loses his first match. Max’s rival withdraws due to pressure, tying the best-of-three series one apiece and forcing Takao to take the deciding battle. Takao struggles against his opponent’s massive Beyblade and nearly loses focus due to frustration, but with encouragement from his teammates, he regains his concentration and secures the victory. Following the win, the Bladebreakers visit another stadium to observe the American Team, where they encounter the All Starz captain, Michael, and experience his exaggerated ego firsthand.
