The Bladebreakers arrive in Las Vegas for the American Tournament. Takao anticipates battling the arrogant All-Starz and their advanced Beyblades, but first must defeat the Hispanic bladers known as the Renegades in the qualifying round. Kai surprises his teammates by entering the first battle after Emily confronts him about his cold demeanor. He claims he wants to show his true capabilities to her, but his actual plan is to let the All-Starz analyze his skills. Kai defeats his opponent with such speed that Emily cannot record any data. Max and Takao also win their matches, although their victories are not as swift as Kai's.
