Ep. 5: Seishu struggles with writer's block while enjoying pickled radish and a rocky beach outing.

Seishu faces writer's block for a contest until Naru's grandfather brings konomon, which captivates him. When Naru, Miwa, and Tamako seek help with homework, Seishu attempts to showcase his calligraphy training, but they remain uninterested. The village chief then invites Seishu to supervise children heading to the beach, with Miwa, Tamako, and Hiroshi joining. The location is merely a rocky shore lacking sand, yet the children immediately jump into the ocean. Seishu attempts to follow but slips on a wet rock, repeatedly knocking himself unconscious. He returns home claiming he cared for their safety, prompting the children to embrace him. After resting, Seishu misses a call from his agent, who is at the nearby airport with a younger calligrapher.
