Ep. 6: Seishu faces his past when Kosuke Kanzaki arrives with Takao to persuade him to return to Tokyo.

Seishu’s friend Takao arrives drunk, carried by calligrapher Kosuke Kanzaki, who previously defeated Seishu in a contest. Miwa and Hiroshi attempt to remove Kosuke, but Naru accidentally aids them by releasing stinkbugs from a ball. Seishu admits he recognized Kosuke but claims to have moved on. The following day, Kosuke visits to show Seishu past magazine interviews that inspired him, causing Seishu embarrassment. Kosuke urges Seishu to return to Tokyo, arguing his art has declined on the island. This triggers another breakdown as Seishu struggles with writing for prizes versus personal satisfaction. Naru and Hina interrupt by throwing paper planes made from the magazine pages. Seishu reaffirms his decision to stay in the village. Later, villagers line up for autographs after finding the scattered interview pages.
