Ep. 4: Tsuta Houetsu falls to despair after viewing his fate in Yasha Itaru's mirror.

Iga ninja Tsuta Houetsu encounters Joujinshuu woman Yasha Itaru, who threatens him. He binds her with Root Lasoo but looks into her Destiny's Passage mirror, which reflects his life and fills him with despair, causing him to leap off a cliff. At Ooi River, Joujin summons attendants Kujaku Tsuibamu and Rinne Magoroku. Magoroku uses a spinning technique to transport Tadanaga to Akayashagaruba before the Kokuuzou Bosatsu or Adamantite Tower. Iga ninja searching for Houetsu meet Joujinshuu member Neiri Chiou. Tadanaga travels back in time via Kujaku Tsuibamu's Inverted Halberd of Time, witnessing his brother's sickness and envy. He realizes the Kurokuwa were sent by his brother to kill him, leaving rebellion as his only option. At Jison'in Village, an eagle delivers a cloth with Joujinshuu written in blood from Gei'in. Near Iga village, Rui and Shichigen find remains of the Five Flowers of Iga. At Ooi River, Tadanaga faces the severed heads of Shogyo Kareha, Tsuta Houestsu, Irootoroe Itsuma, and Suiren Shuugetsu. Joujin states he left only Kouga Hachirou and Iga Hibiki alive to show his power.
