Ep. 3: Enju faces school rejection and Gastrea mission with Rentaro against Kagetane

Enju encounters hostility at school until Rentaro suggests transferring. Kisara directs them to a Gastrea infection source. Enju defeats the creature but cries over the situation, prompting Rentaro’s support. They are ambushed by Kagetane and Kohina Hiruko. Rentaro is severely injured by Kagetane’s Varanium powers and Kohina. He later joins a mission with civil officers to stop Kagetane from summoning a Stage Five Gastrea using a catalyst to destroy Monolith barriers. During the operation, Rentaro and Enju find Kayo Senju, an Initiator under Shogen Ikuma. Rentaro appeals to her humanity as she kills without remorse. The group follows Shogen’s intel to the bay area where officers plan to confront Kagetane.
