Black Jack meets Kiyomi, a beautiful young doctor who serves as the sole medical professional on her isolated island. Kiyomi develops romantic feelings for Black Jack, but he believes he is unworthy of her sacrificing her life and the care of the islanders who depend on her. Later, a landslide injures Kiyomi, and Black Jack rescues her. However, upon regaining consciousness, she discovers that he has already departed, leaving her alone after their brief encounter.
