Ep. 26: Black Jack recalls a past surgery for a boy with hand paralysis who used an abacus.
26

While listening to Pinoko discuss abacus techniques, Black Jack recalls a visit from the father of a young boy named Eiji. Eiji aspired to become an abacus champion but suffered from hand paralysis that prevented him from using his fingers. Black Jack performed surgery to restore the boy's hand mobility. However, during a competition, Eiji experiences severe hand cramps. Forced to adapt, he reverts to his original method of calculation, manipulating the abacus beads with his tongue to continue competing despite his physical limitations.
