Ep. 6: Mato collapses as Black Rock Shooter becomes Insane Black Rock Shooter and fights Black Gold Saw

Mato faints from pain after Black Rock Shooter transforms into Insane Black Rock Shooter and tears off her own arm to battle Black Gold Saw. Yuu cannot retrieve her, so Saya takes Mato to prevent destruction but refuses to kill her. Saya sends Yuu’s mind into Black Gold Saw to communicate with Mato, revealing how Saya befriended the bullied Yuu after a house fire incident awakened their connection. In the present, Strength replaces Black Gold Saw to fight Black Rock Shooter, allowing Saya to return. Strength overwhelms Black Rock Shooter during the intense combat. Meanwhile, Yomi returns to school without any memory of Mato, leaving the situation unresolved as the battle concludes.
