Following the defeat of multiple Tenth Division Soul Reapers, Koga confronts Hitsugaya. Koga summons his doll Dalk, which is swiftly frozen and shattered by Hitsugaya's shikai. Koga then fuses the doll's remains into an axe, prompting Hitsugaya to deploy his bankai. Hitsugaya inflicts repeated injuries on Koga, who attempts to heal by absorbing spirit particles, but his body begins to reject them. In a final assault, Koga is slashed by Hitsugaya. Before collapsing, Koga mentions a future without war. This segment is part of the Bount: Assault on Soul Society arc, specifically episode 13 out of 18.
