Ichigo defeats a manifestation of Kenpachi Zaraki, stealing his hollow sword to gain control over his inner hollow. First Division Captain Genryuusai Shigekuni Yamamoto informs Hitsugaya that Aizen intends to use 100,000 human souls in Karakura Town to create a key to the Soul King's dimension and overthrow him. Meanwhile, Chad trains against Renji's bankai at Urahara's shop, while Uryuu spars with his father at Karakura Hospital. Yamamoto also tells Hitsugaya that Lieutenant Momo Hinamori wishes to speak with him. This segment is part of the Arrancar: The Arrival arc, specifically episode 16 of 22.
