Hiyori defeats Ichigo using her hollow mask while he refuses to employ his own mask or bankai. His inner hollow emerges, prompting the Vizards to restrain him before he injures Hiyori. Hirako assigns an exercise to measure Ichigo’s spiritual energy. After Ichigo demonstrates sufficient power, Hirako instructs him to force his inner hollow into the core of his soul. Hirako renders Ichigo unconscious, initiating a battle with his inner hollow within his internal world. Consequently, Ichigo’s physical body in the real world begins to transform into a hollow. This event occurs during the Arrancar: The Arrival arc, specifically episode 14 out of 22.
