Ichigo, Yoruichi, Ukitake, Kyouraku, and Yamamoto face a flame wall from Ryuujin Jakka. Yoruichi escapes underground via shunkou, but Tobiume and Haineko collapse the fissure. Ichigo fails to leap over the flames using hollow powers. Yamamoto explains Muramasa seeks to destroy Karakura Town to free Kouga Kuchiki. Earlier, Muramasa met Orihime Inoue, blacked out, and was confronted by Uryuu Ishida and Yasutora "Chad" Sado. As Ichigo attempts another jump before being engulfed, Hitsugaya and Hyourinmaru arrive. They activate their bankai to rescue Ichigo, enabling him to proceed to Karakura Town to stop Muramasa. This segment belongs to the Zanpakutou Unknown Tales arc, episode 19 of 26.
