Inside Kouga's collapsing inner realm, Ichigo battles Muramasa as the Zanpakuto spirit begins turning into a Hollow. The domain is destabilizing due to the grudges of Hollows consumed by Kouga. Outside, Soul Reapers fight Gillians while the protective dome becomes unstable. Ichigo challenges Muramasa's loyalty to Kouga, arguing that the spirit should understand the true bond between a Shinigami and their Zanpakuto. After defeating Muramasa, Ichigo exits the inner world. Muramasa dies upon realizing his mistakes, and Byakuya expresses his gratitude to Ichigo for his assistance in this critical situation.
