Ep. 256: Byakuya's Anger and the Fall of the Kuchiki House

During a hanami party at Byakuya’s mansion, two attackers appear: a masked figure and a satyr-like being. Sode no Shirayuki and Senbonzakura, which have recently rematerialized, swiftly defeat the masked intruder, while the satyr escapes. Mayuri identifies these entities as sword beasts, defined as zanpakutou whose masters have died. Rukia and Sode no Shirayuki attempt to lure the satyr beast out using a drinking party, but the plan fails. They eventually locate the beast during an attack and defeat it together, capturing it for study. Ukitake and Kyouraku express concern over these incidents, noting that the Seireitei is still in the process of rebuilding.
