Hitsugaya and Halibel exchange attacks using water and ice, neutralizing each other because he freezes water while she melts ice. Both strategize to transform the battlefield to land a decisive blow. Hitsugaya struggles to protect injured Soul Reaper lieutenants while evading Halibel, suffering severe injuries from her Cascada technique. Halibel notes his compromised strength, prompting Hitsugaya to rise and declare Hyourinmaru the supreme zanpakutou with control over the heavens. He prepares to unleash his ultimate technique, Hyouten Hyakkasou, to end the confrontation. This sequence is part of the Arrancar: Downfall arc, specifically episode 9 of 39.
