Kenpachi lies defeated beside Ichigo as Yachiru transports him for medical care. Yoruichi similarly retrieves Ichigo for treatment. Ganju and Hanatarou reach Rukia's cell, where Ganju grows furious, mistakenly believing Rukia killed his brother, Kaien Shiba. Despite this misunderstanding, Byakuya arrives at the scene. Recognizing the immense power gap between them, Ganju chooses to engage Byakuya in combat anyway. This sequence occurs within the Soul Society: The Sneak Entry arc, specifically marking the conclusion of episode 20 out of 21 in the series.
