Isane Kotetsu alerts the Thirteen Court Guard Squads to Aizen's betrayal under Unohana's orders. Aizen reaches the execution site where Tousen has brought Rukia and Renji. Renji refuses to leave Rukia and fights Aizen. Ichigo arrives to join the battle against Aizen. Aizen defeats both opponents and starts explaining his motives for betraying the Soul Society. His monologue is interrupted by Komamura. This segment belongs to the Soul Society: The Rescue arc, specifically episode 20 out of 22.
