Ep. 62: Aizen Reveals His Plan and Escapes with His Accomplices to Hueco Mundo

Aizen defeats Komamura using a powerful kidou spell and explains that he orchestrated Rukia's execution to retrieve the Hougyoku. He reveals that Urahara hid the orb, which grants hollow powers, inside Rukia's gigai. After extracting the Hougyoku, Aizen orders Ichimaru to kill Rukia, but Byakuya intervenes to save her just as most of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads arrive. Aizen and his allies then use several hollows to escape into Hueco Mundo. Later, a recovering Byakuya tells Rukia that he married her sister, Hisana, and adopted her into the Kuchiki clan to fulfill Hisana's dying wish. He admits to being torn between his duty to uphold the law and his desire to save Rukia, acknowledging that he broke clan rules by adopting her.
