Diva takes James to the Royal Convent Garden to sing, while David learns from Mao and Okamura that Cinq Fleches and Goldsmith Holdings sponsor her opera and operate a London research facility led by Van. David infiltrates the lab using a stolen ID, encounters Julia, and escapes capture by Van, who recognizes him from Vietnam, by taking him hostage. Meanwhile, Saya, Hagi, and Kai fight James, whose iron-like skin deflects Saya's sword. Nathan intervenes to save Saya, forcing James to leave with a promise of a suitable death stage. Weakened, Saya feeds on Hagi, and Kai watches as they depart.
