Ep. 33: Kai and Lewis Hunt Chiropterans While David Struggles with Grief in London
One year after Riku’s death and the Red Shield headquarters destruction, Kai, Lewis, and David reside in a London war orphan shelter managed by Gray. Kai wears Riku’s crystal as a pendant, while a devastated David remains in a drunken stupor. Joel, confined to a wheelchair after Carl’s attack, provides special bullets intended to kill chiropterans and reveals Julia is in the United States with Collins. Kai resolves to stop Diva until Saya returns, urging David to find purpose rather than wallow in self-pity. Meanwhile, in the US, James and Van demonstrate the Corpse Corps to Dr. Collins, who declares Saya unnecessary. The US accepts these new soldiers, while The Schiff observes from the shadows. Later, Kai and Lewis find their new bullets ineffective against chiropterans, leaving them surrounded until Saya and Hagi appear.
