Ep. 11: Manaka's tragic life and transformation into Echoes is revealed before her final release.
Manaka’s history is disclosed, beginning with her birth after her father abandoned them and her mother forgot the event. Raised by a grandmother who labeled her the devil's child, Manaka lived in isolation, observing the world through unique light butterflies. At age five, her grandmother killed her before dying of old age. A pillar of light resurrected Manaka, granting her rapid maturation and superior intellect. However, she was stripped of her cognitive abilities, forced to repeat phrases, and became known as Echoes. Boogiepop intended to eliminate her, but the Boogiepop Phantom intervened, deeming her harmless. As Manaka passed away, she transformed into light butterflies, visited her hospitalized mother, and vanished within a light pillar.
