Saki Yoshizawa, a piano student aiming for music university, has her confidence destroyed by a private teacher, leading her to despair. She receives a mysterious call inviting her to play, visits Paisley Park, and accepts a red balloon from Poom Poom before joining a group of happy children. Upon returning home and facing the reality of playing piano again, she takes her own life. Yoshiki, another dissatisfied student, receives the same call and accepts a red balloon, subsequently contacting others. Boogiepop Phantom intervenes to stop Yoshiki from making further calls, ultimately removing him from the situation.
