Ep. 12: A Requiem

One year after the distorted rainbow vanished, office lady murders persist in the city. Kazuko Suema and Touka Miyashita travel to Tokyo for university entrance exams, but Touka disappears during the test. Private detective Ichiro Kishida lures an office lady to his apartment to kill her, but Boogiepop intervenes. Boogiepop reveals he is the deceased Shinpei Kuroda, a former Towa Organization agent who assumed Kishida’s identity and is possessed by Manaka’s preserved Manticore. Kuroda traps the entity within his body, then destroys both himself and the Manticore using an electromagnetic bomb. Later, Kazuko, Touka, and Nagi reunite at their school graduation before parting ways.
