Following Boruto's victory over Nue, Mitsuki engages Sumire in combat. Boruto intervenes to halt their battle, sustaining an injury during the process. He appeals to Sumire by reminding her that they are friends from the academy, which persuades her to surrender. The trio then returns to the Hidden Leaf Village. Upon their arrival, Sai takes custody of Sumire, assuring the children that she will not be harmed. This event occurs during the Academy Entrance Arc, specifically episode 14 out of 15.
