An injured Kawaki roams Ryutan City while Sumire, Team 7, and the Police Force search for him. He encounters a starving stray dog, and they share food until Sumire arrives to treat his wounds. Misinterpreting her actions as a delay tactic, Kawaki attacks Sumire and begins rampaging through the streets. Naruto and Sai subsequently arrive to stop him. Naruto utilizes his power to deflect Kawaki's assault. Once Kawaki loses consciousness, Naruto announces that the boy will reside with him to receive proper guidance. This event marks the fourth installment of the Kawaki Arc, specifically episode four out of thirty-three total episodes in the series.
