Following the destruction of their food reserves by the Funato, Team Denki ventures out to find supplies. Boruto and Kawaki advocate for an offensive strategy, but Sarada argues against leaving the village undefended. Isari informs Araumi of Tenma’s death, prompting Araumi to assume personal command and blame Isari for the current situation. With rations depleted, villagers sacrifice their meals for the shinobi, who have lost their appetite since Kagura’s death. Hebiichigo distributes the food to the children, revealing to Metal that her kindness stems from her lonely childhood and a belief that she is only capable of killing. Metal encourages her to change her perspective. Meanwhile, Kawaki and Boruto resolve to defeat Funamushi for Kagura. Iwabe and Denki are captured while scavenging, and Funamushi refuses Araumi’s order to retreat, determined to avenge Seiren and complete the ambush on the Mist.
