Amidst lingering fears of war, Naruto proposes a field trip to the Hidden Mist to improve relations with the Land of Water. Principal Iruka agrees, and the students board a cruise ship for the journey. Upon arrival, they discover the Hidden Mist has been fully modernized, surpassing even the Leaf Village in development. The students are amazed by the advanced infrastructure and distinct culture. While the girls are captivated by the local boys, the boys focus on entertainment such as games and movies. This excursion serves as the first part of the School Trip Arc, highlighting the cultural exchange and the surprising state of the Hidden Mist.
