Team Sarada investigates nighttime assaults on ex-shinobi. Mitsuki, whose cat Mikazuki vanished after the Funato attack, finds the animal with musician Hibiki, who cared for its injuries. Mitsuki leaves when Hibiki’s brother, who dislikes shinobi, appears. He later tracks the attackers to their food stand, recognizing them but lying to his team about their escape route. Mitsuki learns the siblings seek the murderer of their father, identifiable by a specific scar. Team Sarada arrives to save Hibiki and her brother from the true killer. After helping capture the murderer, Hibiki and her brother are permitted to leave the Leaf Village but are banned from returning.
