Students reenact village history with Himawari as Minato, Kawaki as Katsuyu, Kae as Tsunade, and Eiki as Jiraiya. Kawaki shares feelings with Kae about her desire to remain with friends, contrasting Orochimaru’s exile. Eiki discovers Kawaki is a genin and conspires with a classmate to steal his headband. During rehearsals, Eiki sabotages the stage, prompting Kawaki to rescue everyone and teach him about consequences. After an apology and stage repair, Kawaki loses his headband, which Osuka returns after overhearing the plot. Eiki then reveals an anonymous note exposing Kawaki’s identity. Kawaki rushes to protect Kae from an assassin sent by her country’s Minister, who seeks to place her younger brother on the throne instead of her.
