Kawaki drives off an assassin and comforts Kae, delaying his report to Naruto so she can enjoy the school festival. Students prepare for the event, with the history play progressing well. Kawaki excludes Himawari from the danger. Boruto and former classmates attend. Hana Sensei suffers headaches during rehearsal. Kawaki notices suspicious cloaked figures while Kae’s butler is unavailable. Letters reveal paper bombs placed on school grounds, set to explode in 20 minutes. Shino, Boruto, and classmates begin disarming them. Ehou reveals Eiki remains to disarm a large cluster. Kawaki leaves Kae with Himawari to assist Eiki, arriving just in time to save him. The assassin attacks with smoke bombs, but Himawari rescues Kae. Kawaki arrives to protect Kae as the assassin detonates bombs to escape, injuring Hana Sensei. Kae questions Kawaki’s motives.
