Ep. 8: Rei faces his father's command to kill his former instructor while Kazuki and Miri plan a birthday surprise.

Rei is summoned by his father, Boss, head of a major assassin organisation, who demands he cease his rebellious behavior and uphold the family legacy. Boss grants Rei more time but orders him to assassinate his former fighting instructor, who recently betrayed the group. Kazuki and Miri secretly prepare a party for Rei’s birthday in his absence. Rei discovers the instructor fell in love and attempted to leave, prompting Boss to murder his girlfriend. Despite this injustice, Rei engages the man in a lengthy battle. Although Rei attempts to spare him, the instructor forces Rei to kill him so he can reunite with his deceased girlfriend. Disgusted by Boss and himself, Rei questions his purpose as an assassin. Kazuki abruptly arrives to drag Rei home, revealing the party Miri prepared. Despite the trauma, Rei smiles. Meanwhile, Boss sends Kyutaro a demand for information on Kazuki and Miri.
