Albert, fearing he is a burden, stays silent when he hears her calling, though Poope reveals her concern. He insists she should not care for a stranger, but Candy explains their shared past and declares she loves him like a brother. She argues that since he helped her often, she must now help him. Upon returning to the hospital, Dr. Leonard informs them that Albert is healthy aside from his memory loss and cannot stay. As a temporary measure, Alistear offers his van for Albert to sleep in the park.
