Apr 8, 2012Weeks after Team Q4’s national victory, Aichi visits Card Capital and agrees to teach a young boy how to play Vanguard. The boy, initially appearing as a novice, reveals his true skill while using a Gold Paladin deck. Upon riding Great Silver Wolf, Garmore, Aichi is pulled into a vision where Blaster Blade, Blaster Dark, and Dragonic Overlord are captured by a mysterious force on Cray. The boy explains that a new power transcending boundaries is needed to fight this threat. He then vanishes, leaving Aichi to find his Royal Paladin deck has permanently changed to Gold Paladin. Furthermore, all memories have been altered so that everyone believes Aichi has always used Gold Paladins, with no one noticing the discrepancy.

Aug 19, 2012Teams Q4 and New AL4 continue their vacation on the southern island, with all members of Q4 having their own story to tell. Kamui gets depressed when he loses to Tetsu again, and his friends Reiji and Eiji cheer him up. The three then undergo a rigorous training regimen, which gives Kamui inspiration to make a new deck revolving around the Raizer series. But once again, in spite of this new deck, Kamui is defeated by Tetsu. After getting coaxed into playing beach volleyball with Ren and Asaka, Misaki cardfights with Ren, with both of them borrowing others' decks. Ren reveals the reason as to why he fights with other people's decks is to not only try to find a more suitable clan for him to use, but to also gain a better understanding of his own deck. With that in mind, Misaki constructs a new Witch-themed Oracle Think Tank deck and defeats Ren, who borrows Emi's Bermuda Triangle deck this time. Aichi turns his focus toward developing a new deck. He finally accepts the gift of Psyqualia and uses it to construct a new deck while also fully embracing the Gold Paladin clan. All the while, Izaki tries to fish but a suntanned Morikawa's swimming gets in the way, and Miwa cardfights (and repeatedly loses to) Kai. Finally, Team Q4 and friends take a flight home while New AL4 stays on the island.
