Following reconciliation with Tokoha and Shion, the trio undertakes a challenge requiring sufficient points for Chrono to advance to grade 2. The group navigates peculiar obstacles including balancing on a pillow stack, engaging in cosplay, and solving a maze. Upon reaching the conclusion, Chrono faces the eccentric quest giver, who identifies himself as Vlad III, in a card duel. Chrono defeats Vlad's Dark Irregulars deck in a difficult match. This victory secures the necessary points for grade 2 promotion and bestows upon Chrono the title of Vlad IV, a designation he strongly dislikes.
